A microdilution checkerboard technique was used to test two azole drugs combinations (fluconazole plus itraconzaole and voriconazole plus itraconazole) in a collection of triazole- resistant and -susceptible Aspergillus fumigatus strains. The azole combinations showed to have effect only over triazole resistant strains suggesting that different azole could target different Cyp51 proteins.
