Resumen:
In Aspergillus fumigatus there are two distinct but related Cyp51 porteins encoded by cyp51A and cyp51B. cyp51A knock out strains were generated using wild type and azole resistant strains. The azole MIC values dropped 20-fold demonstratin the implicance of this gene in azole resistance.
