Particle models from orientifolds at Gepner orfbifold points

We consider con¯gurations of stacks of orientifold planes and D-braneswrapped on a non trivial internal space of the structure (Gepner model)c=3n £ T2(3¡n)=ZN,for n = 1; 2; 3. By performing simple moddings by discrete symmetries of Gepner modelsat orientifold points, consistent with a ZN orbifold action, we show that projection onD-brane con¯gurations can be achieved, generically leading to chiral gauge theories. Ei-ther supersymmetric or non-supersymmetric (tachyon free) models can be obtained. Weillustrate the procedure through some explicit examples.
