Women who abort with misoprostol in Argentina. Itineraries in a restrictive legal context

Abstract (100 word) This article presents the preliminary results of research carried out in the city of Cordoba, Argentina. The goal is to describe the itineraries of women who use misoprostol to induce abortion in a restrictive legal context. The methodology used is qualitative, based on in-depth interviews. Interviews were carried out with women who used misoprostol to abort, with local feminist activists, and with ?friendly? doctors in the public health system. We describe the support networks and connections established among these actors. The preliminary conclusions indicate that more women obtain reliable information through a local feminist collective called "Socorro Rosa"while doctors fear the stigma.
