Resumen:
Transition Edge Detectors (TES) are based in the detection of the energy deposited bya particle through the variation of a physical property of the composing material near aphase transition. One of the usually used physical properties is the electrical resistance ofa superconducting material at the transition temperature, Tc. A neutron TED could befabricated in base to a Nb (Tc = 9.2K) / B thin film bilayer, given the high neutron capturecross section of the last. However, the Nb-B binary phase diagram indicates the existenceof several compounds, whose formation could facilitate interdiffusion at the interfaces anddegrade quality of the superconducting transition. Preliminary results are presented on thestructural and physical properties of Nb/B superlattices, in order to study the interfacestructure and superconducting properties.
