Interacción del RSN G349.7+0.2 con una nube molecular

We report on the detection of 12CO emission in the rotational transitions J = 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2, towards the SNR G349.7+0.2. The observations were carried out using the SEST telescope (Swedish - ESO Submillimeter Telescope) located in La Silla (Chile). The angular resolutions are 46", 23", and 12" for the three transitions, respectively. The molecular emission peaks towards the center of the remnant. It shows good agreement in general with the location of the OH (1720 MHz) masers associated with G349.7+0.2, although the correspondence is not tight. Based on these observations, the physical parameters of the molecular gas, are estimated.
