Resumen:
The radioluminescence (RL) properties of Tb, Ce, Dy-doped fluoride crystals under excitation with ionizing irradiation have beenstudied for the first time. The main objective of this work has been to assess the feasibility of using these crystals as detectorsfor fiberoptic radioluminescent dosimetry. In particular, it has been found that the RL intensity from both K2YF5 doped with Tb(10%) and K2TbF5 is comparable to that from commercial Al2O3:C. Higher wavelenght emission from these fluorides makes simpleoptical filtering technique possible to use to avoid stem e ect. Also similar decay time for afterglow was found for these fluoridescompared to the fast decay time of the Al2O3:C.
