Methane landfill production: a fractal chemical kinetics model

Landfill appears as a convenient choice to get rid of municipal solid waste while providing energy due to methane generatedthrough anaerobic fermentation. This work introduces a fractal chemical kinetics model for metane´s production in moderns landfills. This model represents better the heterogeneous nature of the fermentation in landfills. A virtual analysis for a hypothetical cas is also presented.
