Sorption isotherms showing hysteresis loops in a mesoporous disordered medium are simulated using pore size distrubution obtained from different methods, traditional and our own. It has been discussed in previous works that the behaviour of the threshold pressures for the evaporation and condensation process suggests a method to determine the bond distribution, while the size distribution can be obtained from the adsorption branch , from experimental adsorption-desorption hysteresis curves. We compare the prediction of traditional methods with our own, showing important discrepancy, specially for high overlaping areas between the size distributions. The prediction capability of our method is discussed.
