Resumen:
Towards an Argentinean Online GPS Processing ServiceDecimetre accuracy positioning has become a common requirement, particularly in undeveloped countries when tasks such as GIS data collection must be achieved. Most of these tasks are done by users who lack geodetic skills. Therefore an automatic GPS Processing Service can be very useful for this community of users. This paper shows the first step towards an Argentinean Online GPS Processing Service. The basics of Online GPS Processing Service are simple: a facility equipped with a web-base interface return receiver, coordinates after GPS observations are uploaded. The difference between other existing services and the service we propose here is that single frequency observations and kinematic sessions will be accepted. Our current working experimental service provides WGS 84 coordinates from single point code observations, positioning processing which uses transmitted ephemerides. Users just need an Internet connection to upload observations in RINEX format and an email address to receive a PDF document with the results. The service is and will be provided at no charge. Although processing times will depend upon system a replay is expected to be delivered within 5 minutes. The presentation shows how the system works displaying examples using static and kinematic positioning, single and dual frequency observations, transmitted and precise orbits and clocks information. Future developments will be based on differential phase processing which will use SIRGAS station and reference frame
