Resumen:
This paper presents a spam filter based on words and out-of-vocabulary statistics. Both information sources tend to complement each other at different stages of learning. The tests included other freely available spam filters as reference: SpamAssassin, Bogofilter, SpamBayes and SpamProbe. The results show that the proposed approach has a comparable performance with respect to the higher ranked reference systems.
