OPTIMIZATION OF A NON-ISOTHERMAL MEMBRANE REACTOR FOR WGSR

The optimal operation of a multitube membrane reactor (MR) for the Water Gas Shift Reaction is analyzed. The influence of the feed temperature on CO conversion, the reactor temperature rise and H2 recovery is analyzed. For two different MR designs, the influence of the driving force (pressure, sweep gas flowrate) on the H2 production rate and the thermal effects is also discussed.
