Resumen:
The transformations in agricultural techniques applied since the 1990?s in the Pampean Region (Argentina) caused important impacts on natural ecosystems. In 2002, massive substitution of grassland for monocultivation in southern Pampa has taken place in a 60% of its territory. Upon the considerable losses of natural habitats, the necessity of providing sustainable production models is indicated. This last concept is complex and multidimensional, which makes its implementation difficult. However, there are coincidences in the conditions that a system should meet to be sustainable. Among them, the maintenance of biodiversity in the agroecosystem is highlighted. Consequently, the objective of this study is to describe and analyze up to what point the changes in the productive techniques deployed since the 1990?s influence the loss of patches and biological corridors in a representative farm in the pampean southeast.
