Video camera system used to monitor incubation at the Andean Condor

The Andean Condor (Vultur gryphus) is an endangered species, is in distributed Along the Andes from western Venezuela to Tierra del Fuego in Argentina and Chile. In their natural environment, one of the least Known Aspects Concerning reproduction. Their low reproductive rate is one of the Reasons for Population Decline. We report here the use of video camera system During the Incubation Period for a couple of Andean Condor, an endangered species. The system was used with the goal of understanding the behavior of incubation, to determine participation of male and female, providing captive management during or reprodutive period and improve reproductive indices for this species
