Resumen:
Structural sandwich panels are widely used in many structures, especially in the aeronautic and transport industry due to several properties like high specific strength and stiffness, acoustic isolating capacity and low thermal conductivity. The aim of this work is to produce and study natural fiber reinforced honeycomb cores, using a thermoset polymer, using a novel techique. In order to analyze the effect of cell size of the honeycomb cores and the cell wall thickness two ways for obtain honeycomb cores were investigated.
