The proposed methodology is oriented to develop a high fidelity computational tool to analyze the aeroservoelastic behavior of large horizontal-axis wind turbines. The strategy to attack the problem is based on the development of an aerodynamic model; a hybrid and multi-body structural model; a control system to suppress the undesirable responses and to optimize the energy extraction; and a scheme to combine in a strong manner the proposed models, being this procedure capable to solve in the time domain all the governing equations.
