Resumen:
This work addresses the bio-waste valorization approach for thedevelopment of a novelcarbonaceous nanomaterial to be used in the adsorptionof hydrogen as an alternative in the use ofgreen hydrogen. In this research, activated carbons were synthesized using peanut shells anddifferent synthesisconditions. The activated carbon with the best structure and texture, theadsorptionof hydrogen and the effects on their microporositywere studied. The best support obtained presents a BET area of 1350 m2 / g. Said materialsignificantly improvedH2 storage behavior compared to CMK-3 type nanostructured carbon (2.8% byweight at -196,15 oCand 10 bar). The synthesized material shows promise in absorbing hydrogenby weak binding forces(physisorption).
