This paper presents the construction of a high throughput pseudorandom number generator (PRNG) circuit with a uniform distribution density function, based on the residue number system (RNS). The use of the RNS allows the generation of random numbers of a large number of bits at high speed. To validate the random quality of the sequences delivered by the proposed PRNG, they were subjected to a series of basic statistical studies, the Diehard test, complexity test, and calculation of the Hurst exponent. The results of this study are compared with an ideal generator and others taken as reference.
