Ovarian cysts are common in feline species and their frequency increases with age. Diagnosis is carried out by ultrasonography as round, >4.0 mm anechoic structures that do not disappear throughout serial examinations. In women, antimüllerian hormone (AMH) is elevated in cystic ovarian diseases. In cows, ovarian blood flow is used to differentiate among cystic conditions.
