Resumen:
More than 70% of the existing drugs are poorlywater-soluble compounds limiting their oral formulation [1]. An interestingstrategy to improve their solubility/dissolution rate is loading them intocarriers with a large surface area, such as mesoporous silica particles. SBA-15is a promising material to this end. Among the different loading methods, theimmersion offers important advantages such as simplicity and reproducibility.In this work, SBA-15 materials were synthesized as rods and fibers and loadedwith albendazole (ABZ, antiparasitic drug). Drug loading was performed at two differentABZ:SBA-15 ratios (6:1, 1:1) by immersion and a modified immersion method.
