Resumen:
We will give treatment to a case of study in rural communities of the North of San Juan. In this place people denominate "cayanas" to the potsherd that are around the houses and are part of her daily life. The cayanas are not seen strictly like archaeological objects, that is to say, with scientific value or like cultural patrimony. People interpret to the archaeological patrimony like something prohibited, distant in the time and the space, but also they consider that something own, because she is of the place and it is part of the history of the communities. The interpretations of "the cayana" express that tension, and simultaneously they symbolize opposite practices of self-determination to the implemented policies of the development in the place.
