Resumen:
The aim of this work was preparing PVA/PGAsupramolecular networks integrating SSD loaded-crosslinked casein micelles (CCM)for application as topical drug delivery system in wound healing.Trihydroxibenzoic acid (gallic acid) was used to modify the CCM aiming toimprove the dispersability into the supramolecular matrix. Thesenanoparticles-containing supramolecular materials could be applied in liquidstate at 37 °C on the damaged zone and then, in situ gelation can occur at theskin temperature (33 °C). The supramolecular binder, PGA, can act astherapeutic drug due to the anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties ofthis compound. The controlled diffusion of PGA from the supramolecular matrix onthe injury, changes the viscoelastic properties of the network which couldtrigger the release of the SSD-loaded CCM. Then, the CCM can be degraded by thepresence of MMPs, achieving thus the specifically release of the pharmaceuticalmolecule at wound site.
