Resumen:
High fat diets cause obesity and metabolic syndrome (MS) and they are associated with breast cancer progression. Metronomicchemotherapy (MCT) is characterized by the chronic, equally spaced, administration of chemotherapeutic drugs, in doses significantlylower than the maximum tolerated dose, without extended rest periods. Our objective was to evaluate, in mice with MS and bearingthe M-406 mammary adenocarcinoma (M-406), the effect of MCT with cyclophosphamide (Cy). CBi male mice (5 weeks of age),were fed with a standard diet (Control, C) or with a diet with 40% calories of bovine fat (High Fat Diet, HFD), during all theexperiment.
