Resumen:
The essential oils show an important acaricidal effect, but their volatility and delivery inside the honeybee colonies are limitative factors for the final efficacy. In this way, the microencapsulation of essential oils emerges like a possible aplication method. Honeybees and mites (n=10) were introduced in Petri dishes with the microencapsulated essential oil and food, and the survivals were registered to 24, 48 and 72 hs. The microencapsulated oil was evaluated in two different ways: complete exposition and evaporation, in doses of 0,25, 0,50 and 1 gr. The treatment by evaporation was the best aplication method. At the highest dose (1gr.), the efficacy against V. destructor was high at all times. No negative effects were observed on honeybees.V. destructor was high at all times. No negative effects were observed on honeybees.
