"About the Benjamin's Italian reception: the mithological machine of Furio Jesi

The critic´s problem and breakup of the mythical elements of the XIX century is one of the central topics of Benjamin´s thought, developed in particular in his last and incomplete work, the Passagenwerk. As it has been pointed out, one of the problem of understanding this critic to the myth is, on one hand, that itself appears imbued of the mythical elements that this critic tries to destroy, and for the other hand, that this critic should also differ conceptually of the theoretical supporters of the "reactionary" myths. We can understand Benjamin´s constant effort to transform the mythical elements in "critical" and "dialectical" ones. Our intervention -oriented to italian reception of Benjamin- discusses how the concept of "mythical machine" of Furio Jesi takes up and develops the theory of myth of Walter Benjamin. Not only as a "technique of critical ´composition´ of data and doctrines", but also as a singular reading of the so-called mythologies of the right.
