Resumen:
The identification of abnormal eye movements is an important task in neurological evaluation. A correct classification of these movements, for example, through their trajectory, can significantly collaborate in the detection of certain cognitive and neurological disorders that can be serious. However, in some cases, these eye movements can be practically imperceptible to the human eye, which makes the task of the specialist difficult. In this work, a method of visual representation is presented that allows generating an eye movement curve that amplifies and summarizes the eye movements made by the patient. In addition, a compilation of medical information associated with abnormal eye movements is carried out with the aim of facilitating oculomotor assessment, and collaborating in the development of automatic systems that assist in cognitive and neurological evaluation. To show the results, eye movement videos of patients with Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) are used. The results suggest that these curves can be useful in the oculomotor evaluation of the patient.
