Recently García Linera has stressed the idea that neither history nor time is linear, but that advances in rights and conquests are followed by reflux.I think it is relevant to ask ourselves about the conditions of this new tide. Assuming that we are facing a possibility (I would like to state it this way, as a possibility still at stake): that of a new advance of progressive or post-neoliberal agendas in the region.I take the case of Argentina, which is the one I know best, in order to raise some possible axes for debate, especially a very preliminary hypothesis. When compared to the first tide, the Alberto Fernández- Cristina Kirchner administration inscribes itself in a very different historical conjuncture. The arc that can be traced to understand those differences would go from a "crisis in political representation" to a "crisis of the democratic pact".
