Resumen:
The purpose of this study is the preliminary groundwater characterization in the GeneralPico-Dorila aquifer using environmental isotopes (2H, 18O y 3H). Water for chemical andisotope analysis was sampled from eight wells along two lines in the flow direction. Two rainmonthly collector at La Pampa province (Padre Buodo and El Escabel), which belong to theRed Nacional de Colectores de Argentina and Global Network for Isotopes in Precipitationand a near water body were used to obtain the input function to the system. Variations ingroundwater isotope content may be due to evaporation prior infiltration, selective rechargeand mixing mechanisms. Lower tritium contents respond to processes that delay watertransit time or the influence of an older groundwater flow. Longer record of isotopecomposition of rainwater and periodic groundwater sampling are needed to adjust thehypothesis referred to recharge mechanisms and groundwater residence time
