Acondicionamiento de un radiotelescopio utilizando Software Defined Radio (SDR)

We present the development of a radio antenna using a Software Defined Radio (RTL-SDR). The receiver system consists of a half-wave dipole for a frequency of 610 MHz, a low noise amplifier and the RTL-SDR receiver connected to a computer. The main goal of this work is the calibration of the system by means of the Y-factor method, using the Sun as the source. Our first results show that we could not obtain the necessary measurements to carry out the calibration. We conclude that the main issue is the time-instability of the system. We discuss the following steps required to complete the calibration.
