Resumen:
In clinical practice there are no effective high-performance predictive methods to screening the effectiveness of the available chemotherapeutic drugs for each type of cancer in a personalized way. There are a variety of devices generally based on multiple-well microplates, where culture surface demands a great quantity of biopsy material to perform culture, that most of the cases are scarce. Lab-on-a-chip devices can integrate many analytical systems on a single chip, reducing the quantity of biopsy material necessary to perform cultures and can solve the problems mentioned above. The objective of this project is to develop a cell-culture microfluidic Lab-on-a-chip platform prototype to predict chemotherapeutic drug response to be used in cancer precision medicine.
