Resumen:
These reflections are intended to be a commentary on Ítalo Santirocchi's essay titled Family law and confessional issues: a historical analysis of the Brazilian case. In the light of Santirocchi?s contribution, I consider some traits of the transformation of family law in Argentina throughout the last two centuries seeking to contextualize both cases into the wider framework of the Western legal tradition.
