Arbacia dufresnei (Echinodermata: Echinoidea): A carnivore in Argentinian waters.

The prey types in the gut contents of A. dusfrenei in different habitats from Buenos Aires (37ºS) were analyzed. Prey were Membranipora (Bryozoa) and M. pyrifera in beds of Macrosystis pyrifera (at 7m) lamina covered with bryozoans. In the same beds with lamina not covered with bryozoans, prey mostly M. pyrifera, gastropods, ostracods bivavles, foraminiferans, diatoms, and various algae.
