Resumen:
The spawn of Fasciolaria tulipa hollisteri is composed of 24 to 37 vase-shaped egg-capsules. An egg-capsule has 1490 to 4180 eggs (mean 3149+-SD 908), the highiest figure ever reported for the genus. The eggs are 243-288 um in diameter. Three to 11 embryos at a very early stage of development. The largest number of nurse eggs found inside a growing embryo was 530. At hatching, juveniles exit the capsule through a preformed aperture, their shell measuring 2.7 to 7.2 mm in length, the animal having no remains of velar structures.
