Resumen:
Particles may be repelled by an advancing interface during growth. It is known that when pushing occurs, there is a critical interface velocity at which the particles are trapped by the growing solid. The larger the particles the smaller the critical velocity. Theories predicting the critical velocities were developed assuming there is a steady state. However, before this  steady state is reached, the particle must loose momentum with respect to the interface. In order to study this transient state a model is presented which includes the drag force and the pushing force. Results of the calculations for different particle-interface configurations are presented and discussed.
