Sport Fishing ofChondrichthyans in the Argentine Sea. Within the framework of the National Action Plan for the Conservation and Management of Chondrichthyans in the Republic of Argentina (PAN-sharks) the Sport Fishing Working Group had for objective to assess, in the five provinces with maritime littoral, the species caught that included areas, seasons, fishing modality, actors, events and regulations in force in each jurisdiction. The results obtained allowed to establish a diagnosis of the activity that constituted the basis to elaborate the recommendations to be included in the PAN -sharks that comprise the adoption of a regulatory framework for recreational shark fishing, promotion of "Good Fishing Practice" activities, catch and release, establishment of minimum sizes for certain species, recommendation to reduce the fishing effort and adoption of those resulting from workshops with specialists, monitoring and control of the activity by the application authority. promotion of diagnosis programmes and assessment of the impact sport fishing has on chondrichthyan species.
