Very important gold-silver epithermal ore deposits have been found in the Deseado Massifregion, in the last ten years hosted in rniddle to upper Jurassic acid volcanic rocks (Bahía Laura Group). Siliceous and calcareous hot spring structures, associated with these volcanic rocks, found in the northwestern part of the massif at the El Macanudo-El Mirasol area and are described in thjs paper. These superficial forms are related to the shallowest part of a geothermal system and roa y be an important guide in exploration for epithermal precious-metal deposits
