Migrant youths, in the field of international migration studies has been analyzed from the processes of family regrouping at destination and with the presence of sons and daughters of migration who arrive at different school ages and/or are born and grow up in the contexts of emigration. Thus, the first literature considered their presence as inextricably associated with their schooling. Subsequently, after 20 years of migratory experience, social scenarios open up and trajectories, emancipation, mobility processes, labor integration, leisure and consumption spaces of young migrants and young people of immigrant origin begin also to be an object of interest for the scientific production. The purpose of this entry is to review the literature that addresses the issue of migrant youth as a category of contextual analysis and knowledge located in various migratory systems of the Global North and South.
