Resumen:
This text focuses on this very process of including the migrants? countries of origin and of transit into EU migration control. In the first section, several analytical tools from the field of Governmentality Studies will be defined. The second section summarizes a series of documents, instruments, and practices, which have been progressively affording the exercise of delocalized migration control. Subsequently, the latest initiatives in migration matters in EU space, which drive the transfer of abilities and responsibilities in the management of immigration and asylum from the EU to Third Countries, will be reviewed. Finally, the implications of this regime of migration control will be explored, considered as an example of the political rationalities and technologies of government that are characteristic of advanced liberalism.
