First evidence of regional migration of the copper shark Carcharhinus brachyurus (Günther, 1870) in the Southwest Atlantic

Resumen:
Regional migration of the copper shark Carcharhinus brachyurus was recorded for thefirst time in the Southwest Atlantic (SWA) from Argentina (latitude: ?38.1037, longitude:?57.5371) to Brazil (latitude: ?20.6833, longitude: ?40.2846) as a result of acitizen science tagging project. The recaptured specimen was a female (103 kgweight), with 18 developing embryos within the uterus. The total distance was atleast 2566 km, and it is the longest ever recorded for the species. Furthermore, itextends its northern distribution in the SWA.
