Resumen:
Roothair growth dramatically expands the root surface area, and thus facilitates waterand nutrient uptake. Untilrecently, the molecular mechanism underlying root hair growth was unknown.Recent studies revealed that the transcription factor ROOTHAIR DEFECTIVE 6 LIKE 4 (RSL4) coordinates hormonal, environmental, and developmentalfactors to trigger polar-growth.
