Espa–a.Neurotrophins are known as growing factors that participate in someneuronal populations diferentiation, development and maintenance. On the other hand there are evidences that these molecules canwork on other tissues that express mRNA and/ or their receptors,as rat and mouse lymphatic systems and manÕs palatine tonsils. This goal of this investigation is to determine Trk receptors localizationby means of inmunocitochemistry and western-blot in pigÕsthymus. Young pigs thymus (n=20) were immediately fixed in 10%buffered formaldehyde and processed by rutine techniques (H-E)and blue metilene. Trks proteins were labeled with rabbit polyclonalantibodies, with ABC method. In order to detect Trk expression byWestern blot, homogenates were electrophoresed in SDS-PAGE12.5% and developed with Trk specific polyclonal antibodies. TrkAy Citokeratine is positive in medullar reticular epithelial cells. TrkBwas visualized in medullar monocyte- macrophage cells series. S100agrees with reticular cortical cells and TrkC with interdigitaldendrytic cell in cortex-medullar union. The three Trk proteinswere identified in pig thymus by Western blot analysis. PigÕs thymusTrks proteins develop an apropiate microclimate fortymocytes maturation and differentiation and they also may actin a paracrine way.
