Abstract? In this work we propose investigate attachmentand proliferation behavior of the osteoblastic cell line MC3T3-E1 on Zr implants with different anodization treatments assurface modifications. To achieve the objective it is importantcount the number of cell nucleus three and five days after thecells were seeded over control and anodized samples. We presentedan automatically method that combines different techniquesfor image processing. The algorithms used for analysiswere implemented in a toolbox for Matlab, to facilitate reuseand distribution. The results showed an interesting relationshipbetween cell differentiation and material surface.Keywords? Cell proliferation, zirconium, anodization, imageanalysis.
