Resumen:
The objectives of this study were to estimate the potential geographical distribution of Lobesia botrana in Argentina at regional scale and to simulate the temporal distribution of the specie, through a phenology model, in the context of a potential scenario of dispersion of the species across the country. Differential risk areas were categorized and delimited cartographically using a deductive approach. A phenological model, previously validated for this species in Greece, was simulated using daily weather statistics for Argentina. Results suggested that L. botrana could potentially be established and complete annually at least three generations in the eastern Cuyo and NOA vineyard areas, while in the vineyard regions of the Patagonian High Valley, L. botrana could have a lower risk of establishment. This geographical risk analysis would optimize spatio-temporal planning of preventive monitoring activities of the species by the phytosanitary control agencies of Argentina.
