Resumen:
Climacograptus (Climacograptus) bicornis bicornis (Hall) is firstdescribed in the upper part of Las Plantas Formation in the homonymous section (San Juan Province) associated with Nemagraptusgracilis (Hall), Dicranograptus nicholsoni longibasalis Ruedemann and Decker and Dicellograptus sp. This association belongsto the Climacograptus bicornis Subzone (N. gracilis Zone) and it indicates an Early Caradocian age for the bearing layers. Thegraptolite fauna has been correlated with the upper part of Los Azules Formation at Cerro Viejo of Huaco and with Las PlantasFormation at Cerro Potrerillo area (Sierra de Perico), San Juan Province
