In October 2011, the symposium ?Contributions of Palaeopathologyto the Study of Past Human Societies? wasorganized by the authors as part of the Xth Meeting of theBiological Anthropology Society of Argentina, La Plata,Argentina. The aim of the symposium was to present multidisciplinarypopulation studies, which broadly includedcurrent theoretical and methodological perspectives. In thisissue of Anthropological Science, two of the investigationspresented at the symposium are included as full articles.
