Bulk phase transition in YBa2Cu3O7 single crystals

Resumen:
Precise magnetization measurements ofYBa_2Cu_3O_{7-d} single crystals have found evidence for a bulkphase transition a few degrees below the superconducting criticaltemperature. The phase transition is indicated by a sudden drop of thelower critical field , H_{C1}(T), separating a full coherent state at lowfields and temperatures, the Meissner state, from a region at highertemperatures where magnetic excitations are induced at H=0.
