Resumen:
This paper deals with two rare Chroococcal species, Alternantia geitleri Schil. and Cyanodictyon reticulatum (Lemm.) Geitl. from Tierra del Fuego (Argentina) peat bogs. The former is recorded here for the first time since it was described and the latter is registered for the first time from the Southern Hemisphere.
