Coherent electron emission from molecules induced by swift ion impact

Resumen:
Interference effects for electron emission in collisions betweenmolecules and fast highly charged ions are studied using anonperturbative semiclassical approach. Angle- and energy-differentialresults are presented and analyzed as a function of the projectilecharge and velocity, as well as the geometric characteristics of themolecular target. They agree qualitatively with the availableexperimental data and validate the observed primary interferencepatterns. Contrary to previous theoretical predictions a strongbackward-forward asymmetry of the interference structures is found anddiscussed in detail.
