Resumen:
Species of Phellinus s.l. (Hymenochaetales) growing on bamboo in southern Brazil and NE Argentina, plus those recorded elsewhere are keyed out. Host specificity restricted to a bambusicolous substrate is pointed out for five species. The following new combinations are proposed:  Fomitiporia spinescens (J.E. Wright & G. Coelho) G. Coelho, Guerrero & Rajchenb. comb. nov. and Fomitiporia uncinata (Rajchenb.) G. Coelho, Guerrero & Rajchenb. comb. nov. Fomitiporia sanctichampagnatii G. Coelho, R. M. B. Silveira et Rajchenb. sp. nov. is described and illustrated; it is a new poroid species collected on bamboo in Rio Grande do Sul State, Southern Brazil, being similar to Phellinus bambusarum (Rick) M. J. Larsen, but differing by larger pores and spores and rare, longer hymenial setae.
