Resumen:
This work presents a new classification for the failure profiles in maintenance. This paper reviews original works of different authors in the area of maintenance and discusses new evidence or prior evidence to conclude that a new classification is necessary. This work progresses to use this new information in the management of industrial installations maintenance and include a guide to an effectiveness use of the new profiles.
